Spring is Springing!

Hi folks,

Happy rainy spring day to you! I've been rather remiss in writing a newsletter recently and there are some important schedule changes you'll want to know about.

  1. The last scheduled Restorative Yoga until the fall is THIS FRIDAY, details below.

  2. The last 5 week session at the GWC until fall begins April 25th, details below.

  3. There is NO CLASS at the GWC on: April 11th, April 18th, or May 2nd

  4. Weekly classes will move to Newark Natural Foods for the summer, details below.

  5. We'll be back to the GWC on Thursdays in the fall. The tentative plan is: Yoga for Stress Relief at 5:45 followed by 30 mins of meditation and pranayama practices. Come to one class or stay for both and get a package deal!

Spring is springing! We have quite a few plants in bloom now and these April showers are sure to bring those May flowers along with spring and early summer vegetables. If you're not already, this is a good time of year to start to really tune into eating seasonally. This is the kapha time of year. If we get off balance (easy to do) as we transition from vata in winter to kapha in spring, we'll start to feel a lot like today's weather: cool, wet (congested), heavy, and sluggish. So, it's time to start leaving those nice roasts and winter squashes in the rearview mirror for now and look forward to more young greens, fresh peas, whole grains, and legumes.

As most of you know, I'm a partner at The Flying Plow. We are a certified organic farm with a focus on vegetables (we raise eggs and some meat too). We also have a robust online store filled with other (mostly) local & organic goods. We even have local certified organic rice! We are ramping up for our Warm Season and offer an exceptionally flexible subscription program, details below.

Let me know if you have any questions and I hope to see you soon!

Peace,

Rebecca
